Hello All! I have recently purchased a black 1997 MGM LS and am looking for some guidance with the vehicle in terms of maintenance. First, the car has 88k miles on it, and the transmission was serviced at 70k miles. Powertrain is solid. A few problems with the car I'm hoping someone here can back me up on:
1) A/C does not work. I did a search on this forum, and came up with the blend door actuator as being the common fault. I get nothing but heat on all vents from the car. Can someone tell me where to find this actuator/assembly? Are they expensive and/or difficult to replace?
2) Passenger window does not roll down, but makes lots of noise. I'm assuming the regulator is shot. Are these rebuildable or do I have to source one out?
Other than those things, the car doesn't seem to be showing any weird electrical problems, exhaust is sound (even the CAT) but needs a bunch of body work.
The previous driver liked to parallel and/or reverse park alot but never figured out how to do it!
