Hey guys. First post over here. I googled "Crown Victoria" and forum and came up with this forum. Judging by the thread count and number of members this is the place for my question.

My brother just got a new Crown Vic. It doesn't have a key fob to lock/unlock the doors. How involved is retrofitting this option?

What do you mean? There's no key/lock cylinder on the door?

What year Crown Victoria did he buy?

He doesn't have a "remote control" to lock or unlock the doors from outside of the vehicle.

They sell a package at Autozone and from what I hear they are fairly simple to install,just follow the instructions

as far as I know, Keyless remote is standard on most CV's. why not go the dealer and get them?

He got a base model with no options. Just to make sure the dealer didn't mess up, I went to Ford's website and the base model list the keyless entry as an option. I agree that seems kind of wierd for a car like the Crown Vic.
