newbie - need info on p71 / Vic / Marquis - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I am considering the purchase of a CV and I need to know the differences in the models. I am aware of the differences in the P71 to LX Vic. Here are some questions:

1. MPGs - LX? P71? Grand Marq?
2. How hard is it to find a good P71 compared to an LX or Marq? Don't cops beat the crap out of them? Are the "Grandma" cars better?
3. Any years to beware of?
4. Any good websites for purchasing P71s? Tips?
5. Difference between the Ford and the Merc?
6. Anything else you can think of??
