I bought a grease gun with a needle point to grease all the ball joints but it's not working..
Some days the car is as quiet as a mouse while other days its unbearable. It happens when I turn the wheel left/right or lift up and down on the front of the car.
I can't pen-point the sound lactation... sounds like its coming from everywhere!
Its hard to pen-point the sound.. its near the shocks but the sound vibrates out so loud it could be coming from elsewhere. The guy that made this video said it was the shocks rubber bushings.
If it's only on that side, one of the balljoints is dry. I've stopped some temporarily by making a very small hole in the boot and spraying WD40 in there.
Simple to diagnose.
Disconnect tie rod from spindle/knuckle then try again. If its still noisy, have a close look at the steering. Turn the spindle/knuckle by hand. If its this thats making the noise, there are only 2 possibilities-top or bottom ball joint.
