Re: O/D light

Normaly you can't see a problem. Did they show them to you? They can be defective and look okay.

Question Re: O/D light

Well here is the update in my car: Just trying to get some thoughts on this.

Replaced the TCS and worked fine for 1 week the OD LIGHT was off the dash and i was shifting smoothly, but after a week it came back on. As you can see from the pics (which hopefully you can see them ok) not sure if the sensor sits differently it didn't seem like it but due to the different location where it now bolts it might make a difference? what do you think?

went to get the codes at Auto Zone and all the came up was the EGR insufficient and cyl # 8 misfiring. Any ideas if the transmission has its own computer that can give out codes besides via the OBD II.

As far as the cylinder misfiring goes, I've replaced sparks and wires-3 wires were bad. Spark plug # 8 had oil on it. Just wondering whats next. Still reading the Haynes, and looks like might have to replace a gasket what do you think?

Re: O/D light

I am very intreseted in this as well cause my OD light started flashing this morning and will not shift into OD. It justs revs up and lockes me into 3rd. I have to drive with the OD off and then it still flashes almost everytime i shift or randomly at cruise. I have a SCT xcal 2 and will try ti read codes tonight after i limp home and hopefully not damage anything else on the drive. The shifts a alot firmmer now. ( also have Jmod with springs still in).
