Question o2 sensor removal

how do i get them out! they i see 2 on the headers before the cats and i guess theres 2 more on the cats. but i cant posibly reach the first 2 sensors! do i have to remove the master cylinder and other things to get at them??

What year and model car do you have?

its a 1993 mercury grand marquis LS

also--cant you clean o2 sensors with carb/brake cleaner??

I replace the ones on my wife’s '92 GM using the special O2 sensor socket and using a universal joint on the socket. Even with the universal it was a pain to remove them and put the new ones back in. It can be done with patients.

I only know of the two just in front of the firewall.

thans fore the reply. i JUST got the new O2 sensors...8:00 from dhl wow they delier that late!?? lol ahhh i love the smell of new car parts

the removal of the right sensor is going to be a bit h but the mprovements should be worth it. i also receved my crime guard 745i4 security system today woot.
