Observations on CVPIs with 3.55 axles

Being the nOOb that I am, I own both a black and a white P71 and I must say the 3.55 axle (white P71) is much more fun to drive. It definitely is a torque multiplier to get the big Ford moving in a hurry. The one with the 3.27 axle (black P71) is very smooth, probably has a slightly higher top speed, gets into overdrive quickly but its not as peppy off the line. So which axle is in the majority of CVPIs or is it pretty much a wash?

Re: Observations on CVPIs with 3.55 axles

If you do a lot of start\stops, the 3.55 is more your style, but if you're a highway cruiser, go with the 3.27. It's kinda like a tool, you get the one that fits you best.

Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?

Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?
