will someone please explain to me what the f**k a coil on plug igntion is i am new to the marq and i was going to change my plugs a wire but only after reading i have a coil on plug ignition did i realize that i didn't know what that was i am used to distibutors and coil packs but coil on plug come on now

A coil on plug is a seperate individual coil that sits on each plug. You will not need to replace wires, just remove the coil and replace the plug.

thanks for the info mullet man but how is it controlled? no distributer, no pack, does the ecu tell it when to fire?? like i said i'm used to wired igniton
i guess what i'm getting at is if lets just say i wanted to put a msd on there how would i or could i even do it?

Nope,you can't do it unless it's pre 98

That's right! Everything is contolled by the PCM from the info it recieves from various sensors.

You can install MSD equipment with adapters (replaces box and coil packs), but it's too expensive- you don't need to upgrade your ignition unless you're running forced induction or nitrous.
