So last week I picked up a retired 2001 crown vic cop car for cheap. Has some dings and the doors were rattle canned but everything under the hood looks good and only has 101,000 miles on it. Ive noticed that once out of every 3 or 4 times I drive it, for a split second I lose power and all my idiot lights flash. Blink and you'll miss it. I can keep driving like nothing ever happened. Fuse panel looks good and battery connection seems tight. What could be causing this? Also I know many of the newer Fords use a special key to start the car, my 2001 Mustang and 1999 Ranger had 'em. But when I got this car I was given 2 cheap hardware store made keys.
