PCM Swap Procedure 2000 Marquis

Hey everyone, Newbie here! Just bought a PCM for my 2000 Grand Marquis LS. Its been flashed to my VIN, and now I'm not sure what to do. I've been told that I need to have it programmed to my keys, but am unsure of how to go about this. I have not yet installed it in my car. I was told that some cars need to have it programmed to the chip in the key and some do not. How do I go about getting this thing in and running? Looking forward to reading your replies!!

It needs to have the key programming from the old PCM and the keys coded to the new one. The dealer has a way to do it. Some shops do too.

Re: PCM Swap Procedure 2000 Marquis

Thanks, Bert! Can this be done by just taking the 2 pcm's and the keys to the dealer, or do I need to have one installed and the car towed to the dealer?
