replacing.
These are the strips that curve around the corners front nd rear and run down the sides.
Ford parts says they have been discontinued.

First thing I would like to know is how are they attached........double sided tape?

And is it feasible to replace them with universal stuff trimmed to fit?

Or can they be painted......

I imagine it would come down to personal opinion. They probably are stuck on with double sided tape of some kind. I've had cars where I removed them completely, as well as cars which I've painted over them...guess it depends on the look you are going for.

Although not available from Ford, most trim parts are still available from aftermarket body shop suppliers. Check e-bay or a friendly body shop for manufacturers, but beware, many are made "off-shore". Painting would not be an option unless you want to lose the chrome (ugly). They are attached with double sided adhesive, and beware, they cost more than they should.

Turns out that Tousley Ford Online, was full of crap.
Was in my local Ford Dealer (Galloway) and he looked it up, ordered them, Received them and I just had them put on.
NOW, this car is pristine!

Probably a lesson to be learned here.
