I was driving around the other night with all the windows down and as I passed cars and fences and such I noticed an odd 'ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh' noise, never really notcied it, but it seems to be the power steering pump. Never really gets any louder, just stays at a constant noise level.

I heard from a buddy that some people have complain about other fords having loud ps pumps, whats the word on that?

After time, pumps will get noisy from contaminated fluid or just wear. If the P/S Fluid is dark in color, then try changing it with a suction pump and new fluid. If that does not help, then deal with it or replace it.

Ya thats basically what I figured. Its still being pretty noisy and today I think I started noticing a little more resistance in the wheel, Ill check out the fluid tomorrow.

God I hope I dont need to replace it...that would be unpleasant.
