power steering pump

my 93 p/s pump is bad and I was going to put on a 95 but I see mine has a sensor wire for something what will happen if I don't use it.

Probably flag you on a power steering diagnostic. Don't think much else.

its on and working.i found out what the sensor was for reving the motor when the wheels were turned.i guess they figured it wasn't needed.

Quite a few European cars have similar , increases revs when under load to prevent stalling .
