Hello, first of all I have to apologize, that i dont speak proper english.
I have a Grand Marquis from 95.
This car has a 3 main probs.
1. The car is shaking sometimes, but as I figured out here in the forum, it supposed to be fixed by changing the coils.
2. The gear is not well adjusted and it shifts up and down as it wants.
Additionally there are knocking sounds sometimes. I also figured out, how I can adjust the gear
3. And worst of all probs... the engine sometimes works very fine and is full of power, but sometimes the car is allmost stoping in cause of a lack of power.

Do u think the 3rd prob is caused by the the bad gear adjustment??
Or do u have any idea what the prob might be...

Check the fuel filter. If you can get to an Autozone, they'll pull codes for free.

i just changed the fuel filter, the sparking plugs, the oil filter and the oil...
i dont want to say that its totally solved yet but its far better.
if the problem comes back or i figure something out, ill let you know.
