I would like to know if its posible to change the manual heater control to Electronic Automatic Temperature in a 1998 Grand Marquis?

Is it simple as adding the Electronic Automatic Temperature in place of the manual or is there other things that need to be changed?

if it works with same principle as the older models, you would need a few more things. i know in older models, there is an air sensor in dash to know the temperature inside the car, and on a heater hose there is a sensor. i would think it would describe what needs done in a manual, but not really sure toward the newer models
