Hey guys, nice forum you guys have here! I dont actually own a Ford/Mercury, but my girlfriend does. Its a 99 Mercury Grand Marquis and Im getting ready to change the rear brakes for her as they're squeling pretty bad...but before I go diving in I wanna make sure I got my info right. Im assuming these have hubs in the back? If its just regular rotors/pads Ill be fine, but its been a while since hubs so I need a refresher. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

There are no hubs. After the calipers are removed, the rotor just comes off. Nothing holding it on. Easy job.

i cant say for certain, but i think it has rear disc brakes and the calipers dont quite work the same as front calipers. i think on the rear, you have to turn the caliper piston in oppsed to just pressing on front calipers.

Thanks for the reply! That is awesome news if theyre disc brakes in the rear as well! The turn in pistons are a PITA, I had them on my Integra when I was a kid...but still tons easier than doing a drum brake job...either way, thanks again for the info!
