Squeeky...ball joints?
I have a 96 Vic LTD and I have noticed an undesirable squeek in the front left suspension. I ran into the same problem just before I got the car (bought it from my dad) but on the right side. I think it was a bad ball joint that was un-greasable, but I don't really remember. Unfortunately, he doesn't either... nor does he remember how much it cost to fix the problem. I am a poor college student and price is certainly a concern for me. I was wondering if anybody could confrim that it is an un-greasable ball joint or what...an estimated price of repair would be wonderful, too. It squeeks when I turn the wheel, hit the break, go over a bump, pretty much all I have to do is look at it and it squeeks at me. Ironically the first time we had these problems was just after a road trip where it rained hard on the way home and I just got back from a road trip where it rained hard. There is 180k miles on the car and it is the original joints on that side.
