Does anybody know what the stock throttle body size is for the crown vic? Or sizes if more then one were used, say the crown had one size and a Grand Mq had another. Please help. - Spitzer

Well I don't have a Vic. I am doing some modding of my Taurus 24v Dohc. In my progress I have run in to a problem my throttle body is now biggest restriction on my intake by about 12mm smaller then everthing else. And I don't want to spend $2-300 on a custom TB when I can get one off another Ford with a bigger motor and just fit it in. I am looking for around 75mm and on up. The bigger the better as long as my computer will beable to use it and it hooks up without any major wire changes. Could you be of help? - Spitzer
P.S. my taurus is a '97 so I would guess that the Vic would have to be of a simmilar year.

well the stock TB size for a stock 97 Crown Vic is 65mm and there are no other TB sizes that came with the Crown Vic from the factory. but a 70mm or 75mm will fit the Crown Vic too. Hope this helped

My TB is 75mm stock and I drive a 02 CVLX Sport. Just for grins I went out to look at a bussy of mine's 03 mustang gt and it is the same EXACT part!!! go figure!

ya that is on an 02 Crown vic but they dont come with that on an 97. Plus i believe that 01 and up sport Crown Vic had the bigger TB than a regular Crown Vic. Because putting a 70-75mm TB on a 97-2000 Crown Vic will not give a good gain in HP unless you port and polish plus some new headers and a whole lot of other mods to the engine for that Tb to give u a really good gain in HP.
