This car went to church this morning without any problem. After church, it refused to idle. Really difficult to get home. Kept looking for problems, and several others showed up. After the engine was cold, and I attempted to restart, the cooling fan ran continuously. The headlights could not be switched off while the ignition was on. On a hunch, I disconnected the battery. Waited about five minutes and reconnected. Everything back to normal. Then I remembered there had been a thunderstorm and near-by lightning strike during church. Could it be that the lightning screwed up the computer?

Yep,It sure could! I've had alternators to be fried from lightning
