I thought timing chain last much longer than belt.

I checked ford service manual for vc/gm, it turns out:
60k (and 120k): replace timing chain/belt(6268)

When do you guys change the timing chain? and how much it costs?

I'm assuming that is miles. While a timing chain is made entirely of metal, they don't last forever. They do weaken over time, and they commonly stretch. Will they last longer than 60k? Probably will - but do you want to chance being stranded, and chance potential engine damage? They aren't terribly expensive, and it's good preventative maintenance (I'm big on preventative maintenance, and any car I've owned has typically been trouble-free and long-lasting).
