Re: Tire Size
If I'm right 1979-1991 CV the max for stock wheel conditions are 225-75-R16, the min is 195-50-R14 so any where in there with out fabrication. I think 245 will scrap the rear inner wheel well and the frame on the front. It'll make for a great ride but also kills MPG due to friction. You can get wheel spacers but again when you hit bump it will scrap on the rear out wheel well egde and that tends to cut tires. Now to keep the speedo correct the max is 215-75-R16 and min is 200-65-R14. If you do want to use 245-50-R16 then I suggest Gabrail Air Shocks to raise the rear car off the rear axle but ride will be greatly effected. Also keep in mind any thing with the hieght ratio of 50 will be really low and tend to get the under side scraped bad and will stiffen ride and increase your speedo between 3-6 MPH (you'll be going faster then your speedo). It takes less force to turn a shorter tire and you speed is recorded off your transmission, not your tires or axles. But to a cop its by the relations of you to one point in time and location (your ass is flying).
