Just curious if this will bolt up to my 88 CV with the stock 5.0 EFI. If so what kind of difference it would make. Thanks.

I believe you'll find it bolts right on, but with the '94-'95 upper intake, the TB must face the passenger side, so it requires some changes there since your current intake has the throttle body facing the driver's side. It can be done, though--talk to Blaze86Vic either here or on Grandmarq.net. He's got a full HO engine with that intake on it, and it runs great.

It will, but it would be much better to just get an 86-93 HO uppper intake, since the lower intake is the same on the Crown Vic and the HO (Mustang) motors. The 94-95 Mustang upper intakes interfere with the wiper motor box. You also have to come up with a custom intake setup, and relocate the battery elsewhere.

To use an older HO upper (which you can reverse to bolt on like stock) you need to have the EGR bored out, and use a mustang or aftermarket Throttle Body (as the Crown Vic one is so small) and weld the Crown Vic cable bracket to the mustang throttle body.

With lot of work that can be avoided you could end up with a setup like this....

Save up for an Explorer intake........
