Waz up guys? I'm very new to these forums and had a question about Crown-vic exhaust. Could you use (or can you fit) a mustang "h" or "x" pipe on a crown-vic? I'm about to get a used P71 and would like to fix it up somewhat. Thanks
I dont have the car yet, but I'm looking to getting 98-up P71 from this place in Cartersville that used P71s is all they sell. I was just wondering Because I have looked under a few vics and noticed how similar the exhaust is set up in relation to SN95 stangs. I'd like to do mine (when I get it) with an off-road Xpipe and 40series Flows.
I was told by a local speed shop that specializes in mustangs that the 4.6l crown vic's cant use the 4.6l SOHC Mustang exhaust because of routing issues. To date i've still not found an aftermarket header for my car. I'm not sure what you wanna spend but there's always the custom header option...
wowowow! Indeed that is quite pricey but i'm sure it's worth it. Eventually I am going to do a rebuild. Stage2 head/cam/lower intake swap and supercharge the car - i've been looking for a better than stock header before I even attempt the swap and now and i may have found it.
thats a cool site. I thank you for directing me to it. I'll prob start dumping money now. :)

You're welcome...but now you see why I mess around with 20 year old cars instead of newer stuff...

I was actually Talking about the h/x pipes, I'm not so worried about the headers.
Thanks though.
There used to be a company called Dr. Gas that made an X-Pipe for the Vics and Grands.
