Window Washer Fluid

Hi Guys/Gals;

My window washer fluid stopped working. Last week I went on a road trip and it was working fine until I returned home - then nothing. The wipers work fine on all settings, but when I hit the washer switch nothing happens, no motor whine, fluid, etc (and yes there is fluid in the reservoir :-D ).

I am planning on pulling the tank to get the with washer motor to see if there is power going to it, but thought I would throw the question out here first to see if it is something others have run into and maybe know a quick fix.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas / Happy Hanukkah / Happy Kwanza!

Ron

Re: Window Washer Fluid

Possibly the pump. Haven't had any issues with them but it could be, We have had the switch quit. The contacts in the end of the lever get corroded and they quit. This may help from a Taurus forum. The switches are very similar.

Multi-Function Switch (MFS) Problems
Common Symptoms: Headlights don't work (highs and/or lows), wipers don't work correctly, turn signals don't work correctly, hazards don't work correctly, any combination requiring moving the MFS or turning on another feature to get one feature to work.

Re: Window Washer Fluid

Thanks for the help - I was thinking the switch after I posted. Will try it this weekend. I have another one laying around someplace . . .
