Alternator question on 94 continental
Hey all this is my first post here, and I think I will start off with a question that has been bugging me.
I am a car audio enthusiast, and I just put a high wattage (1200 watt) system into my 1994 Continental. The problem now is that the alternator can not keep up with the current draw from the amp. I'm trying to find out how many amps the stock alternator produces. I need to know this so I can get it rewound to a higher output to keep up with my sound system. Can anybody enlighten me on this? And yes, i have checked in the manual and it didnt say.
Also once i get my alternator rewound to a higher output, is there anything else i need to upgrade/change when my alternater gets upgraded?
Thanks
