No Worries :)

The Peaks National Park has had a lot of routes and rights of way reclassified.

I spent some time in the council offices and now have a fairly definitive map of the South Peaks.

Good scenery, plenty of cafes and a good day out all round.

Where about are you in Staffs? If you know the routes then I'm sure I can grab a couple of people who would love a good run up the Peaks.

I'm in Burton and the routes are across the moors, Stanage Edge and couple of old quarries and farm tracks.

More the merrier, sort out some dates and we can get a meet up.

Cheers,

Neil:beerchuge

Did I scare you chaps off?

After just doing all 4 wheel bearings, a 60K mile service and a cam belt change (all for less than a dealer quote for the belt alone) I could do with a day in the hills.

Any takers, you bring the flask, I’ll bring the maps?

Cheers,

Neil

Peaks

Hi xsavier

I go walking around the peaks quite a lot and have often wondered if there are any decent greenlanes to explore. What maps are you using - O/S Landranger? and if so, which scale and map number?

So many questions, but I'm dying to go exploring and I'm a complete greenhorn when it comes to greenlaning!

best regards

G

Hi Gumo,

Drop me a line here or a PM and I'll sort out the map refs for you.

If you let me know when you are planning a visit give me a shout and I'll even bring a flask.

Cheers,

Neil
