confused '07 F-150 Factory Keyless Entry Code

I just purchased a use F-150 and it has keyless entry. the dealership was not a Ford dealer and so they didn't have the code so I could erase it and create my own. How do I find the factory 5 digit code so I could change it. The owners manual has not been much help.

Re: '07 F-150 Factory Keyless Entry Code

If you can't find the number on a sticker anywhere, like in theglove box or a door jamb, you will have to got to someone with a Ford factory scanner, the code can be retrieved via the Ford scanner. I don't know of any aftermarket scanners that do this.

Another option is to find the vehicle security module and see if the number is on that module. My info tells me this module in in the left rear of cab, behind seat, probably behind the plastic trim.

Re: '07 F-150 Factory Keyless Entry Code

I found mine by sticking my head under the drivers dash and looking into all the wires and stuff towards the left side of the steering wheel. There was a sticker with a bar code and a 5 digit number. It worked. My truck is a 2003. Yours might be in same spot. I don't kow. Good luck and hope this works.
