I was told that I need a new EGR valve for my 1979 F150. Where can I order this part online? Is it easy to install? Can someone provide pictures of where this thing is and some instructions on how to install it?

You can get one from Rockauto. One of our sponsors. They have a code to get a discount. Check in our sponsor section. If you see what it looks like, you'll be able to tell how to replace it. It's a very simple job. Two nuts and a vacuum line. Sometimes the housing gets eaten away from corrosion and it needs to be replaced too. Try the EGR and if it works good after that, you're al set and don't need the housing. (It's what mounts under the carburetor).
