1991 Ford F-150 4x4 fuel issue

My truck is 5.0lt engine with auto tranny push button overdrive. It's been running fine until recently. We think we've gotten water in the gas tank from our small town gas station. The truck runs fine when I get gas near my work, but on occasion we've had to get gas here in town and after doing that it starts running crappy again. Is there anything I can do to get the water out of the tank and out of the fuel that I have in the tank now?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

39 Views on the post and no one knows what's going with my truck or how to help me fix it?? That's odd.

Stop by your local auto parts and pick up a bottle of fuel drier. Dump it in the tank and let it do it's thing.

I would imagine most of the views were from non-forum members browsing the site.

I agree with jwko, it is also called dry gas by some folks. All it really does is lets the gas and water mix instead of seperate. It can be found at most gas stations and any auto parts store.
