1997 F-150 Engine Will Mot Turn Over. Need Help

I am Dan. I live in Thomasville, Ga.

I have a 1997 F-150 with a 4.6L Triton V8, 4x4, A/T, 6" Fabtech Suspension Lift. I was driving it a month or so ago and out of no where with no strange noise or any funny action from the vehicle the truck just slowly started to lose power. I was able to get it into a parking lot. When I shut the engin off, I was unable to start it agian. I have replaced the Battery and the alternator was rebuilt a few months before the incident. The engine does not turn over at all when the key is turned. One would assume it is the starter btu I cannot see why that would cause the engine to lose power. I can only believe that my engine has locked up for some reason. If anyone has any ideas of what my problem is please share .

hey dude, when you lost power, were you actually "losing power" (voltage).. lights going dim, slow flashers. ect.? it sounds like your alt died, even though was rebuilt. do you have cardboard or something in front of the radiator? maybe in front of the alt? i went through 2 (on 3rd now) before i wised up.
