1998 remote entry system and perimeter alarm system - Ford Forums

I have a 1998 F150 Supercab 4.6 4X4 Offroad 172,000 miles I can't get the remote entry system or the auto door lock to work. I have the programming instructions and have tried them for hours I cannot get the truck to the program mode. I have read about the Remote Anti-theft Personality (RAP) Does the 1998 have one of these Does affect these two functions and where is it located Any help would be appreciated

Did the remotes work before and you had to replace them?

Never used the remotes or tried to use them. When I bought the truck and cleaned it remote was found in back seat I checked battery and it was good (Today). Been trying to find out if this year has a RAP module and what it controls and where it would be located also if missing can I add the RAP it is an XLT with power door locks
