Just wondering if anyone has a howto on replacing the rear wheel bearing. I got this 2000 model truck and it has so much slop in the axle that the rear disc brake was cutting into the rim! Do I need to open the rear diff to remove a nut or clip so the axle can come out?

you will have to take the rear cover off and take the spider gear pin out to remove the c-clip and then you could pull your axle out.as for getting the bearing out you need a slide hammer with a bearing puller i rented mine from canadian tire for 5 bucks for a day.good luck.

Thanks. Didn't realize you had to pull the diff cover off and remove the centre of the diff to get at the clip. Turns out it was so screwed I had to replace the entire rear end assembly. Ugh!
