2002 F150 5.4 won't start after short trip

I've having this problem periodically. My F150 (5.4 with 170,000 on the engine) after driving approx 5 miles will not start when I turn the engine off briefly. I went to the store and was there only 5 min or so and came back and tried to restart. My engine cranks and sputters like it is getting a small amount of gas but not enough to start.

After waiting about 20 min, the truck would start normally. This has happened 3 times in the last week and I am getting tired of getting stuck as it makes me late for appointments.

I have change the fuel filter and my mechanic says my fuel pressure is 35. There are no codes popping up on his computer scanner. Would the scanner pick up problems with the PCM relay, Fuel Pump relay, pressure relief valve, or IAC valve?

Any thoughts would be helpful.
