confused 2006 F-150 5.4 Liter Lariat, Please Help

- Takes 2-3 times to start after truck has been sitting an hour when engine is warm.

- E85 or Unleaded doesn't matter.

- After truck sits for more than an hour, it will start first time, but with some initial hesitation after the engine turns over.

- Seems harder to start AFTER we put gas in.

- The less gas there is in the tank, the easier it is to start it seems.

Can anyone give me any help/advice?
Thanks, Rachel

Re: 2006 F-150 5.4 Liter Lariat, Please Help

Could be the fuel pump, my wifes expedition would take a few times to start, it end up being the bypass value in the fuel pump was bad, The value is supose to kep fule in the lines and at pressure so when you start it there is fuel. Hers was keeping the valve open and all the fuel woudl go back into the tank, so when you trurned the key you had to let the fule pump push gas from the tank to the engine.
