My Ford 1999 F-150 had 176,546 on the odometer when the radiator began to leak. I elected to use OEM parts to replace the radiator due primarily to ease and surety of installation. This type of replacement is well within my skillset. I purchased the new part on 4/3/08

On or about 7/1/08 the new radiator began to leak. It failed catastrophically shortly after that requiring AAA tow to my residence so I could make repairs. I installed the new radiator Ford gave me, with similar part manufacture dates of 2001 that concerned me.

On 10/3/08, the second radiator also failed in the same area (the intake area at the inside of the radiator) and I have been presented with a 3rd radiator on 10/14/08 also with a 10/01 manufacture date. Mileage on the vehicle at this time is 193,550.

Now it appears this radiator is failing same location, at the inlet valve, mileage is 198K

I have taken good care of this vehicle, regular coolant flush. Oh.... had to replace heater core feb '08.
