5.0 hesitation

hi, here's my problem, ive got a 95 f-150 5.0, i can get in it in the mornings and take off and it will run and idle fine untill i get to the end of my street, (which is about a 1/4 mile) and when i stop at the stop sign and take off it wants to spi a sputter for a moment or two then it clears up and wont do it again till the next mornin, or if i let it set for a long time.

have any suggestions??

Re: 5.0 hesitation

check your codes, sounds like a hiccup when it enters open loop mode.

otherwise, check your air cleaner box, especially near the crankcase breather filter (beneath the air filter). often on these old motors the breather lets oil into the intake...particularly at startup.

Pick up a can of Seafoam. 2/3 through air intake, 1/3 in tank.
