89 f150 300ci exhaust question

ive got a 5speed 300ci and i looked under the car and theres 2 cats under there. would taking the second one out and then getting 2.5" catback with a flowmaster 40 be alright for this engine. what i want is a nice sound without the loss of power. emissions are no problem for me so i dont have to worry.

Re: 89 f150 300ci exhaust question

It will be loud. I can tell yo uthat much. Removing a cat on each side will increase the sound a bit. Adding 2.5" cat back and Flow 40s will make it deeper. You will lose a little back pressure.

How loud do you want to make this?

i dont want it loud i just want to make more power, currently i have the flowmaster 40 on there. i was just thinking that taking out the second cat would help it breathe.

Yes it will free up the exhaust some more. It will also make it a bit louder.
