I recently bought this 89 F150 with the in-line 6 with 79,000 miles. At first, it seemed to hunt for an idle, around 600-800 rpm. Then on day, is started searching between 600-2000 rpm. Now, it's at a constant 2000rpm. This is all within the first 200 miles I've put on it.
Other than that, it seems like a clean truck. What gives???
It's a work truck and looks like it. The body is in OK shape, just some primer everywhere. I can't believe I bought it for $1600 - 4X4, 80,000 miles, tow package. I'll get a photo up at some point. But it's turning out to be a good truck.
I reckon thats a good buy with only 80000 miles. Mine has over 225000 miles. So it will last you a long time. Everyone in this truck forum area can vouch for how good and tough they are.

Even with the 225000 miles on your's you still think you can drag those lancers and WRXs at the lights hey Baz! I'm amazed she has lasted so long with the way you drive.
