My '92 F-150, 300ci 5-speed, 317,000 miles, recently became VERY hard to start (after starting perfectly for all these years...) and then would jerk/run off and on under any power, for 3-5 minutes after starting, although it would still idle, albeit roughly.
I changed spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, and it now starts easily, but still had the lopeing problem when revved or under any slight load 'till it's good and hot, it also seems to be draining the battery when parked with nothing on, I have to charge the battery before it will start if it sits a few days, I KNOW it's old, but it's the only vehicle I have to pull the boat and trailer!!!

Try a new fuel pump relay. I had that problem with poor performance, the fuel pump relay actually got stuck in the on position and wouldn't shut the fuel pumps down when the ignition was turned off. And because it was faulty it was causing a resistance to the fuel pumps and they were not getting full voltage thus not putting out full pressure to the fuel injectors. When I put in the new relay you'd think the truck had a complete tune up. So sure sounds like that could be your problem. Might be worth a try, the relays are not too expensive.
