Exclamation 95 F150 shifting problems

I have a 95 F150 V8, auto (as you can see I do not know a whole lot about cars, but enough), and am having problems with the truck shifting from 2-3. It shifts from 1-2 fine, but sometimes it JERKS into 3rd and sometimes it shifts out of 2nd into nothing and you have to let off of the gas for it to shift into 3rd, yet other times it shifts from 2-3 easily,. I looked in the Haynes manuel, but found nothing. Any ideas?

Smile Re: 95 F150 shifting problems

The truck has approx. 136,330 miles on it. The man we bought if off of 4-5 years ago had kept up the services on it (so we know it was well taken care of before we got it) and we have kept up the basic service on it since then. It is due about next month for a tune-up.

Not sure if you fixed your problem yet, but I have a 99 F150 that does the exact same thing.
