A friend of mine has a 99 F-150. His problem is that his heater doesn't work all the time. If it works, it'll work all day, other times it won't work for days on end. He has just flushed the system and replaced the thermostat. The heater hoses are hot, the blend doors are working as is the fan. I'm suspecting the heater control valve. I gave this truck a quick look, but didn't see one that is exposed leaving me to guess it's in the heater box with the heater core.
I'd like to help him out this weekend and fix it for him as the temp here is getting low and I hate seeing him freezing his cahonies off. Any hints or tips anyone could give me would be great. Thanks:)
