I own a 84 ford F250 i am tring to figure out what ratio and type of axles i have. It is a 4X4. I bought the 1984 truck shop manual body chassis electrical. I found that i have axle code B6= dana limited slip # capacity 5300 ratio 3.55 but then nothing for the front axle. What type of dana is this 40 50 60? also where are the # stamped on the rear end it's self i don't know some one could have changed it in all of these years. Also where would i find my front axle code? thanx alot

It might be a Dana 40, the 50 isn't really common on F-250s. I bet it is a 40. The code might be behind the axle near the gear housing.

the build of materials, (b.o.m.) is stamped on one of the axle tubes near the centre, it states the ratio
