confused Block ID help

Ok, I've got an 82 F150 4X4. Factory, came with a 302. Whoever owned the truck before me took out the 302 and replaced it with a 351W. Getting the clutch done a couple months ago, the mchanic told me its a Borg Warner T18 or T19 tranny and pinned the motor down to an 89-92. Nobody seems to be able to help me so far...so where in the world is the block id stamped at? I'd like to know a little something more about my engine. lol And why when changing the motor would someone want to keep it carbed?? Thanks...

Re: Block ID help

I don't know about the number on the block but I'm with you on carbing an engine with what's available from stock to custom setups.
