A/C problem

I am having a problem with my A/C and the shop charges so much for a compressor so i was going to buy the parts and have them instal them. But im not quite sure if its the cluch thats broken or the compressor. the belt turns it, but the face plate that is visible from the top does not spin like it should, also occasionly the air will only come out of the defrost vents and not the pannel. The air is also not cold. this is in an 97' F-150. Thanks

Re: A/C problem

hi m8 try checking your wiring make so its getting power to the clutch when you turn it on if it is the clutch is gone if not check your fuses or the switch could be faulty, and if it not getting cold its probably needs regasing.
