confused Can't find the fuel tank selector switch on my 1980 F-150

I just recently purchased a 1980 F-150 with a 400M engine, and a 4 speed tranny. I have removed the dash board so that I can clean it up and re-surface it. Upon removal I noticed that the fuel tank selector switch is nowhere to be found. I don't even know where it would fit on the dash. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Maybe I am looking too hard, or maybe I am looking in the wrong spot?

I have a 84 F-250 and it's located on the A/C-Heat control panel on the opposite side of the Blower switch. I'll run out and take a pic & post back.

I believe it would be in the same location on a 80 model

Thank you! You were right. I wasn't thinking of it being there.

Re: Can't find the fuel tank selector switch on my 1980 F-150

This post is a few months old but i thought I would just say that my 82 is the same and it took me awhile to find that switch as well. Also, my wife and kid were using the truck and thought that switch operated the heater and had turned it to the empty tank, luckily i saw it before I ran out of gas. The lettering on the plate is small and hard to see.
