I have a 97 F150 4X4 KING CAB and I want to install a 10 disc CD changer into the truck. I just purchased a used 10 disc changer from a 97 Windstar, model# (F4FF-18C830-AA.)
The F150 has a standard Ford stereo with a cassette player, MODEL# (F75F-19B132-AA). Please tell me what head unit that I need to purchase to correctly hook the CD changer to the system and where I can get one. The current head unit does not have any provisions to hook the CD changer into it.
Is there something that I can get as an adapter that will allow me to use my current head unit?

i dont know of any head units that are compatable with that changer other than the original head unit from ford that came with it.
i am sure that other ford models than the windstar had the same head units but you have to find one that controlled a 10 disc changer or the controls will be different.

maybe the tech at crutchfield.com could recommend another brand head unit that will work with your changer!!
