Is This A Deal????
I'm considering buying a 1999 F-150 standard cab short bed. I appreciate any replys; my friend is an attorney and is selling a client's business assets. One of the assets is a company work truck. This truck runs very good but is every bit a work truck. The air bags have been stolen and the Air bag light is consequently on. Also the ABS light is on, unknown if related. The brakes shudder but otherwise work well. The low beams don't work and the truck has 170,000 miles. The body is very straight, the tires are good, no bad oil in the trans or engine (V6). It has power steering and A/C. Vinyl interior. He only wants $1000.00 and I'm considering it for my 16 year old son. I'm thinking I need to take it in but and not sure who to have check it out. In other words, is the dealer good for this sort of thing?
