Decode a VIN

I can't figure it out, can someone tell me the information from the following VIN F10GCA76066 it's a 76 f-100 with a 302 2 bbl 2wd truck. I know it has a 302 but is i don't know how to tell if it's a windsor or cleveland.

Re: Decode a VIN

As far as I know, Ford didn't start putting the Windsors in the F-series trucks until the early 80's. I know Ford went with the 351M for awhile in the late 70's but according to your VIN it has a 302. If I had to guess, I would bet on the Cleveland....but I didn't know Ford made a 302 Cleveland available in the US. I believe there was a 302C in Australia...but I'm not positive on that one.

Re: Decode a VIN

On the valve cover it says ... Family 302 "B" EGR/Air. The part before Family is scratched off.

Re: Decode a VIN

there should be a number on the block. WIth that we can tell you what it is. But more than likely it will be a clevo.

Re: Decode a VIN

^^I'll go with your word that it's a cleveland because there's a lot of crap on the block. I was going to use some engine cleaner and clean it but i needed to start it. When i went to start it had stopped running.

Re: Decode a VIN

Is this a NA or AU truck? If it's a NA truck, it's a Windsor... no Clevo 302's up here.
If all else fails, count the valve cover bolts, 6 is a Windsor, 8 is a Clevo
