Dura Spark II Troubles

My 77/460 has taken to intermittent and random firing of the plugs.

It has good spark out of the coil with no coil wire installed, but with the coil wire instlled it just fires randomly.

Do those Pickup coils go bad???? Frequently????

I had a similiar problem with my 74, 390. I replaced everything I could find and finally took it to our man at work. He said the Duraspark is prone to ground failure. He cleaned up the ground(?) and it's worked great.

Thanks Flash, I'll attack the Grounds and the Rest of the problems tomorrow.

I had the Spark Timer checked today, and bought a new Inductor, and Now I have no Spark at all.

THis should be easier to find.
