I have a 99 f150 4.6v8 4x4 standard transmission with 89000. Truck starts and runs fine, but when accelerating the engine will stutter. Very noticeable when accelerating to higher freeway speeds in the higher gears.
Plugs and wires replaced 5000 miles ago. Replaced the fuel filter and that seemed to correct some of the stutter, but it is still there.
Was told that this could be a fuel pump problem, if so any help on how to replace a fuel pump would be greatly appreciated.

i just replaced my fuel tank and the pump was on the top. it was not hard to do. i also have the miss when i start it up and when i accell. some one told me about a iap sensor [ i think that is what it is called] just needs to be cleaned from carbon buld up. if i find out where it is located i will let ya know. i just heard about this last nite. or if you know let me know.
